Khazzan / Makarem EWT Project, Oman

Project Summary:

BP Exploration (Epsilon) Ltd awarded Enerflex as the ‘DBOO” Contractor for the engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, performance testing and operation of the Khazzan Makarem EWT Gas Compression Facility Project in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Khazzan Makarem EWT Gas Compression Facility Project was developed to exploit the deep, tight, sweet gas reserves from the Barik and Miqrat reservoirs.

The primary objective of the Extended Well Test was to prove reservoir deliverability for the ultimate full field development plan.

Key Roles & Services Provided:

Synergy Plus Solutions provided the commissioning management consultancy services associated with the EWT Project.

The scope included design review, HAZOP support, separable portion system definition and project completion planning during the completions preparation and detailed design phase. The scope also included identification of handover certification and milestones including a project completions handover framework utilised during the project execution phase onsite in Oman.

Project completion document deliverables were identified, developed and managed on site as part of the handover and acceptance stages of process between mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance guarantee testing and operational phases of the project.
