Origin OGP Inlet Gas Compression Project, Australia

Project Summary:

Origin Energy Ltd engaged Enerflex as the Contractor for the commissioning and performance testing of the Otway Inlet Gas Compression Facility Project (ICP).

The Otway development produces the Thylacine and Geographe gas fields in the Otway basin offshore Port Campbell in water depths of 100 m and 85 m respectively. The Otway Gas Plant (OGP) is located northeast of Port Campbell in South Western Victoria.

Natural Gas is sourced from the offshore facility and piped to the Otway onshore gas plant. Inlet gas compression is required to provide pre‐compression of the received Inlet gas back to the original facility design pressure.

The project involved the installation of inlet compression facilities at the Otway Onshore Gas Plant so as to extend the production plateau and further deplete existing gas reservoirs.

Key Roles & Services Provided:

Synergy Plus Solutions provided the commissioning management consultancy services associated with the new inlet compression facility infrastructure within the existing brownfields operating plant.

The key deliverable was in the form of integrated interface management and execution of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Performance Guarantee Testing management solutions between the EPC, construction contractor and client representatives.
